Cheers to 50 Years Block Party!

SAVE THE DATE! CSC is hosting a block party in celebration of 50 years dedicated to science, fun, and discovery! Enjoy a day of exhibit exploration and fun activities for all! On Saturday, September 27th from 10 AM – 4 PM, at the SALT Block!

What to expect...

  • Outside on the Lawn
    • Visit us on the lawn to participate in free guided activities for all ages!
    • Explore the adult science under the small tent and play BINGO, Trivia, meet a CSC animal, and grab a beer from Old Hickory Brewing!
    • Bring a chair or blanket to watch performances on the Patrick Beaver Library stage! Schedule of events coming soon...
    • Experience what it's like to dig for fossils with the Aurora Fossil Museum and find your own fossils to take home!
  • Inside the Science Center
    • Explore CSC and compete against fellow visitors in a scavenger hunt for a prize!
    • Get a tour of the facility with one of our past Executive Directors or the current Tracy Hall! Schedule of events coming soon...
    • Take a photo with Splashy at the photobooth and pick up exclusive 50th anniversary merch in the North Lobby!
  • Inside the Foothills Collaboratory
    • Drop in for a session led by CSC staff featuring their passions and the science behind it! Schedule of events coming soon...
  • Inside the Special Events Room
    • Join us in celebrating our birthday with cake and a song at 11:00 am!
    • Guests 21+ can join us in a toast to 50 years & beyond of science, fun, and discovery at 2:00 pm!
    • Participate in a "Science of Beer" session at 3:00 pm in the aquarium's special events room!
  • Inside the West Wing Building
    • Purchase a ceiling tile and paint or draw something sciencey that represents CSC. We will keep these and put them up inside classrooms for future classes to enjoy! Pricing details and classroom location coming soon...
