Science classes for Wolf, Bear, and Webelos scouts to work toward the following adventure based on rank.
Young scientists dive into the world of germs and bacteria using microscopes. Scouts will learn how germs spread, how our bodies fight back, and the importance of hygiene, all through hands-on experiments and activities that bring microbiology to life. Classes meet some of the requirements below.
Bears put on their lab coats and explore the fundamentals of scientific inquiry. Through a series of exciting experiments, scouts will use the van de Graaff generator, practice the scientific method, form hypotheses, and discover the joy of asking "why?" Classes meet some of the requirements below.
Webelos become rock detectives as they investigate Earth's geological wonders. Scouts will examine rock and mineral samples, learn about the rock cycle, and explore how geology shapes the world around us — from the mountains of NC to the ocean floor. Classes meet some of the requirements below.
Space science classes for Daisies, Brownies, and Juniors to work toward the following Journey, based on their level. Enjoy a private planetarium class for your troop! Planetarium seating is 65 max capacity.
Daisies blast off on their first space science adventure! Young scouts will explore the wonders of our solar system, learn about the sun, moon, and stars, and discover what it takes to be an astronaut — all through age-appropriate, wonder-filled activities. Classes meet some of the requirements below.
Brownies take their space exploration to the next level! Scouts will investigate planets, moons, and the mysteries of deep space. Through hands-on activities and experiments, they'll discover how scientists study the universe and what lies beyond our world. Classes meet some of the requirements below.
Junior scouts become true space science investigators, tackling more complex concepts in astronomy and space exploration. They'll analyze data, design experiments, and explore cutting-edge topics in space science — preparing them to think like real scientists. Classes meet some of the requirements below.
