Visiting CSC with a Different Museum Membership?

Welcome! Your membership will cover the adults listed on your membership and all children 17 and under in your household. Here's what you need to gain admission:

  • Your valid, unexpired membership card to your home museum
  • Your Driver's License or other valid photo ID

90-mile rule: If your facility is within 90 miles (as the crow flies) of CSC, see the Nearby Centers section below for your admission policy.

Not sure if your museum is on the list?

Check the ASTC Institution List

Before You Travel with a CSC Membership

1

Check for exclusions

Make sure the science center you're visiting is NOT within 90 miles of Catawba Science Center. This distance is measured as a linear radius, not driving distance.

2

Plan ahead

Review the family admittance policy of the venue you intend to visit and call ahead to confirm your Passport Program benefits.

3

Pack your ID

Admissions staff reserve the right to request proof of residence. Venues requiring proof of residence are marked "Proof of Residence Required."

4

Pack your membership card

Passport Program venues are not required to grant benefits to visitors who forget their cards. There is no universal database for admission staff to reference.

5

Residency restrictions apply

If CSC is not your "home" museum (the closest one to your home address), other museums may charge you admission. ASTC's residency restriction protects institutions from members using a cheaper membership to visit their local science center for free.
